When water reaches the two sensors on the underside of the water alarm, the alarm is triggered. The water alarm works on both hard and soft floor surfaces. The battery has a lifespan of approximately 10 years and warns you when the battery voltage becomes too low. The battery cannot be replaced.

The LS-153/10Y is RISE type-approved in accordance with CR 139, certificate C901573. This type approval means that the water alarm has been tested and assessed in accordance with the requirements applicable to this type of product.
